Customs and immigration
For flights from or to outside the Schengen area or the customs territory, passport and customs checks are available. Please register them at least 2 hours in advance and report delays immediately.
Arrival and departure
Charts: RMZ, VFR circuit, RNP IFR approaches
Only the currently published AIP charts are binding. You will find them in the DFS AIP, current restrictions in the NOTAM.
- Do not overfly Herrenteich (EDEH) and Hockenheim (EDFX) below 1,500 ft AGL.
- Watch for parachuting at Herrenteich (NOTAM).
- Do not overfly the refinery east and south-east of the aerodrome.
- Tall trees south of the aerodrome.
- No simultaneous take-offs and landings on the grass and asphalt runways.
- While a glider winch is operating (yellow warning light), no take-offs or landings by powered aircraft.
- Aerotows from the asphalt runway only with prior permission and only in direction 16.
- Grass runway only with prior permission (gliders, motor gliders); powered operations only when no winches are laid out.
- Landing with a tow rope attached is prohibited.
Noise abatement
Please avoid overflying the cathedral, the town and the swimming pool (north of threshold 16) as well as the villages of Rheinhausen, Oberhausen-Rheinhausen, Altlußheim and Neulußheim. Join the circuit clear of built-up areas wherever possible.

Parking and access
Three parking areas: main apron at the terminal, roundabout or apron 5, and the grass parking area. Access via the turnstile in the north-west (between hangar 1 and 2) or through the terminal.

Payment
- At the terminal: Payment terminal on the ground floor, immediately on the left.
- By app: Aerops. After landing, tell us on the radio that you pay by app.
- Customer account: No need to get out, you receive an invoice.
- Accepted: Mastercard, VISA, EC/Girocard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay. Not accepted: American Express.
Hangar space
Hangar spaces with turntable for singles and smaller twins (ultralight up to Piper Seneca). Join the waiting list and we will contact you as soon as a space is free. Unfortunately we cannot estimate the waiting time.
On the ground
- Briefing room: on the ground floor, printing via AirPrint or PC.
- Lounge: for passengers and guests.

Safety manager
Safety comes first, and it depends on reports. We work by the principle of just culture: nobody who reports has anything to fear. It is about learning, not blame. Bird strike, drone, an object on the runway or a close call in the circuit: tell us, anonymously if you prefer.
Please also report occurrences that are mandatory under EU Regulation 376/2014 through the official reporting system of the German Federal Aviation Office (LBA).
